PAST EVENT : TODSTW®D 2008 & 2009
In light of current economic times, the Governor and ICSEW will not be hosting a TODSTW®D event at the Capitol Building this spring. However, we are encouraging observance of the day and assisting agencies in conducting their own events.
Due to the Governor’s concern over observance of the National Day during WASL testing (April/May) and current results from an ICSEW preference survey, TODSTW®D will be observed on June 25, 2009. See the Governor's Proclamation.
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is willing to come to your agency and conduct a science experiement for the children. Please contact Roberta Carpenter if you are interested in having this at your agency.
Washington celebrated last year's Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day on May 22nd.
Children accompanied by an adult were invited to attend the activities at the Capitol Building from 8:30 until 12 noon. Washington celebrated the event in May to prevent conflicts with WASL testing that occured in April. View the 2008 TODSTW®D flyer.
