Take Our Daughters and Sons To Work® Day Event
The ICSEW is pleased to provide information and resources to benefit state staff and their children throughout Washington State employment. This Web site is a resource for agency Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day (TODSTW®D) coordinators as well as all state staff who wish to participate in the national day.
"I encourage all state agencies to participate in this worthwhile program. It is a great way to show our appreciation for state employees and their children."
--Governor Christine Gregoire
TODSTW®D 2008
Governor Gregoire proclaims May 22nd as this year's Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day. Children accompanied by an adult are invited to attend the activities at the Capitol Building from 8:30 until 12 noon.
Children will receive a passport and learn about state careers as they travel the state government offices to receive their passport stamps.
Senator Karen Fraser will deliver the keynote speech at 10:00 AM in the Capitol Rotunda. View the 2008 flyer for the complete schedule.
Washington celebrates the event in May to prevent conflicts with WASL testing occurring in April. The national date for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day is April 24th.
